New Holland Steel Barges

We have been working with steel hulled boats since 1981 and now produce replica Dutch Style steel barges, liveaboard river barges, houseboats and floating offices from initial plans through to final fit.

We build and complete our own designs on a spec basis and to order so that a purchaser can have a ready to sail boat that merely needs soft furnishings for the final finishing touch.

Based in our specialist 16,000 sq ft workshops in the fenland district of New Holland near Wisbech, Cambridgeshire; we specialise in barges of the 49-75 ft range. New Holland Steel Barges investment in specialist woodworking equipment enables us to provide a quality of cabinet making second to none resulting in a unique quality of finish.

When fitting out the boats, our team of craftsmen use a wide range of English hardwoods such as cherry and sycamore for the lineouts, cedar and chestnut for kitchens, elm flooring; right through to the exotics like walnut panelled bathrooms and lacewood worktops. We form and create Avonite for our galley tops and bathrooms.
